Written in 1948 by the beloved mid-century American playwright of You Can’t Take It With You and The Man Who Came to Dinner, Light Up the Sky is a classic smash-hit comedy about a group of New York theater folk eagerly waiting for the reviews to come in for their out of town tryout. We meet the grand leading lady, her gin-rummy-playing mother, the eccentric director, the boorish producer, and his figure-skating wife. It’s a love letter to the theater you won’t want to miss!
Your ticket to this special fundraising event underwrites Keen Company’s 22nd Season, the Keen Playwrights Lab fostering mid-career writers, and our Keen Teens program providing free theater education to students in all five boroughs of New York City.
